# Luca

> Luca is your financial employee on-chain. It watches the wallets that run an on-chain operation, keeps the books, remembers what the money means, and tells the operator what matters. Luca lives in chat — Telegram today, WhatsApp and iMessage next — not in a dashboard or app.

Luca is currently in private beta for on-chain operators: teams, protocols and autonomous agents whose wallets do real work. It supports wallets on Base today.

## What Luca does

- **Builds the books from a wallet address.** Give Luca a wallet and it reviews the recent history (e.g. the last 30 days) and replies with cash, revenue, expenses, gas and anything that needs attention.
- **Knows what the money means.** Every transfer is classified as revenue, expenses, treasury, internal transfers (between the operator's own wallets), gas, or unknown — with a short reason. When Luca can't tell, it asks instead of guessing.
- **Remembers corrections.** When the operator corrects Luca once (e.g. "that address is our treasury wallet"), Luca fixes the books and applies that knowledge to future transactions.
- **Speaks first.** Luca sends a short daily brief and proactive alerts when something material happens — a treasury balance below a floor, unusual spending, a payment to a new counterparty.
- **Answers financial questions in plain language.** For example: "Why did we spend so much this week?" or "Can we afford another $1k/month server?" (answered from the operator's actual burn and runway).
- **One Luca across chats.** The same books, memory and context wherever the operator talks to Luca.

## Security

- Read-only by design: Luca only needs public wallet addresses.
- Luca never asks for private keys or seed phrases.
- Luca cannot sign, send, trade, swap or bridge funds.
- Each operator's books and corrections are private to them.

## What Luca is not

- Not a dashboard, portfolio tracker or app you need to keep opening.
- Not a trading bot or wallet.
- Not a tax or accounting-software replacement; Luca keeps operational books for day-to-day financial awareness.
